Well water: When filling your tub, use a hose filter capable of removing iron and calcium from the water to prevent damage to your plunge chiller.

When Filling Your Plunge

1. Fill your plunge with fresh water. Use a hose filter if your local water quality is poor or you are on well water. 
2. Using a Sirona test strip, determine your waters pH and Alkalinity. Adjust your pH and Alkalinity to a range of Alkalinity (80-120ppm) and pH (7.2-7.8) using the Sirona Spa Up or Spa Down powders. Use the chart below for correct dosage. 
3. Add 4 tablespoons (2 oz) of Sirona Oxidizer. 
4. Add 1-1/3 tablespoons (2/3 oz) of Sirona Sanitizer. 
5. Enjoy your plunge!

Weekly Maintenance

1. Using a Sirona test strip, determine your water pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. 
2. Add 4 tablespoons (2 oz) of Sirona Oxidizer per week.  
3. If the sanitizer reading from the test strip is below 30ppm, add 2/3 tablespoon (1/3 oz) of Sirona Sanitizer. 
4. If pH (7.2-7.8) and alkalinity (80-120ppm) are out of range, use Spa Up/Spa Down to adjust levels using the dosage chart below. 

Adjusting pH and Alkalinity

pH and alkalinity typically move up and down together. Both can be adjusted using Sirona Spa Up and Spa Down. It is best to focus on adjusting the alkalinity levels first and then retesting the water after 15 minutes.
