Watch the following video for step-by-step instructions on how to setup your Whiteout or Blizzard cold plunge.

Your safety is our top priority. Please read the Safety Precautions related to your cold plunge. Please also read the Warranty to ensure you are aware of the maintenance requirements in your warranty.

Unboxing

  • Take clear pictures of all 4 sides of each box before unboxing even if no damage is visible.
  • Cover: When removing the packaging for the insulated cover, do NOT use a knife or scissors.
  • Tub: Use 2 people to lift the acrylic tub out of its packaging. Use caution to not damage the water connections on the side of the tub. They are not designed to hold the weight of the tub.
  • Chiller: Do not lift the chiller out of the box. Instead, cut the shipping straps and lift the box off the top of the chiller. Using both handles on the chiller, lift straight up to avoid damaging the drain connection on the bottom of the chiller.

Acrylic Tub

  1. Place the plunge tub on a hard level surface capable of supporting the weight of a tub full of water. Ensure the plunge tub does not rock. Adjust the feet on the bottom of the plunge tub if needed.
  2. Using the supplied Teflon tape, install the stainless steel valves on the inlet and outlet ports of the acrylic plunge tub. Use the supplied 1/2"->3/4" adapters if needed.
  3. Using the supplied Teflon tape, install the plastic drain valve on the drain port.
  4. Connect the power connection cable to the plunge tub port below the touchscreen mounting location.
  5. Assemble the touchscreen mount per the supplied instruction sheet.
  6. Pass the touchscreen power cable through the touchscreen mount, ensuring the larger of the two connectors on the cable is towards the acrylic tub mounting plate.
  7. Connect the touchscreen power cable from the mounting arm to the power cable positioned in the middle of the plunge tub's monitor mounting points.
  8. Mount the touchscreen mount to the acrylic plunge using the supplied hardware. Do not tighten the screws until all 6 are installed hand tight. Use caution not to cross-thread or over-tighten the screws.

Touchscreen

  1. Mount the touchscreen to the touchscreen mount using the supplied screws.
  2. Connect the power cable to the touchscreen. Ensure enough slack is available on the cord to allow the touchscreen to rotate on the mount without pulling on the cable.
    • Indoor touchscreens may have an adapter on the power cable to allow it to fit your particular screen. Additionally, indoor touchscreens have three clips which the power cable must be secured within to avoid strain on the power connection.
    • The outdoor touchscreen's power connection is the center socket on the bottom of the screen. Slide it into the socket and then secure it by turning the sleeve on the plug.

Chiller

  1. Place the chiller behind the plunge tub on the side where the touchscreen mounts.
  2. Connect the power cable from the plunge tub to the power port on the side of the chiller near the water inlet/outlet connections.
  3. Route the GFCI power cable to a nearby outlet. If you use an extension cord, it must be 12 gauge and the connection between the extension cord and chiller power cable must be waterproofed.
  4. Using the supplied Teflon tape, attached a 90 degree elbow to the outlet port on the chiller. Connect one of the supplied insulated hoses to the elbow. Connect the other side of the hose to the stainless steel valve in the inlet port of the plunge tub. The insulated hose does not need Teflon tape on its connection.
  5. Locate the primary metal filter and housing in the parts bag of the chiller. Screw the metal filter screen into the center of the inlet port on the chiller. Then screw the metal filter housing over the metal screen and onto the inlet port of the chiller.
  6. Using the supplied Teflon tape, attached a 90 degree elbow to the inlet port on the chiller's primary filter housing. Connect one of the supplied insulated hoses to the elbow. Connect the other side of the hose to the stainless steel valve on the outlet port of the plunge tub. The insulated hose does not need Teflon tape on its connection.

Fill With Water

  1. Ensure the black drain valve is closed and perpendicular to the pipe connection.
  2. Ensure the blue handles on the stainless valves in the inlet/outlet ports are open and parallel to the hoses.
  3. Fill the plunge with water. Use a hose filter if your area has poor water quality or you are on well  water.
  4. Once the plunge is full of water, power on the chiller. Ensure the pump is moving water through the plunge and check for leaks.

Connect Chiller To WiFi

  1. Download the PrimalOS onto your mobile phone. Create an account. Add a plunge to your account and follow the setup instructions in the app to connect your plunge to WiFi.

Touchscreen Setup

  1. Power on the touchscreen using its power button. The indoor screen power button is on the side. The outdoor screen power button is on the bottom.
  2. Follow the onscreen prompts. We suggest using the QR code login method for simplicity. Open the PrimalOS mobile app, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and then select the QR code icon in the upper right corner of the settings menu. Scan the QR code on the touchscreen with your mobile app and it'll automatically log you in. If you prefer to login with your email/password, remember to login with the same email/password that you used on the PrimalOS mobile app.
