To ensure your plunge is always ready when you are, follow this guide to keep your water clear and your chiller running properly. These maintenance steps are required to prevent damage to your chiller and failing to perform them will lead to damage and potentially void your warranty.
Located Outside: If your plunge is located outside where it is more likely for dirt, dust, and debris to enter the plunge water, you may need to increase the frequency of these maintenance items. Excessively dirty/blocked filters are a signal you will need to shorten your maintenance intervals.
Weekly
- Test your water chemistry. Follow our water chemistry guidelines here.
- Use the skimmer net to remove debris from the water.
- Wipe away any film that has accumulated at the water line of the acrylic tub.
Monthly
- Clean the primary in-line filter and replace the disposable secondary filter. Follow the guide here.
- If either the primary or secondary filters are significantly dirty when following the monthly maintenance interval, shorten this interval to every 2 weeks and reassess. An excessively dirty or blocked filter will damage your chiller.
- Ensure the blue condenser coils on the back and side of the chiller are free of debris and dirt.
- With the chiller off, test the GFCI device using the test/reset buttons. If the GFCI does not trip when the test button is pressed, stop using the plunge and contact our support team.
Every 3 Months
- Drain and replace the water in the plunge. Follow the water change guide here.
