Changing Your Plunge Water

  1. Turn off the chiller using the power button on the touchscreen. 
  2. Connect a garden hose to the black drain valve. An adapter has been provided. 
  3. Open the black drain valve. Ensure the end of the garden hose is below the bottom of the plunge to allow all water to drain. 
  4. Close the black drain valve and remove the hose. 
  5. Refill the plunge with fresh water and add new water treatment chemicals per this our water treatment guide. 
  6. Turn on the chiller using the power button on the touchscreen. Ensure water begins to flow. 

 

Frequency

Our official position is you should change your water every 3 months. However, every situation is different. Plunges located indoors that are only used a few times a week can usually go much longer between water changes if our water treatment guide is followed. Conversely, plunges located outdoors or receiving heavy usage may need water changes earlier than every 3 months. If your water begins to become cloudy or it becomes difficult to maintain correct pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels, it is time to change the water.
